Given to Mirjana on the Day for Non-Believers
It was a cold night on Apparition Mountain in preparation for Our Lady’s apparition this morning in Medjugorje, December 2, 2011. The first pilgrims arrived arround 3:00 AM. At 6:00 AM everybody woke to the sound of the first Rosary being prayed out loud to prepare for Our Lady’s coming. Before the apparition many more were prayed and the crowd was joyfully singing between each decade. Mirjana arrived shortly after 8:30 AM. She immediately knelt down and prayed silently while the third joyful mystery was prayed out loud by all those gathered. As always, before Mirjana has her monthly apparition, she was very emotional and tears could be seen falling from her eyes. Our Lady came at 8:42 am. The apparition lasted approximately 4 minutes. Mirjana’s face was very expressive. She was at first extremely joyful, then became more serious and joyful again towards the end of the apparition. After Our Lady left, Mirjana began crying and remained so for a long time, while the crowd started reciting the two consecration prayers Our Lady taught Jelena. Jelena is one who received interior locutions from Our Lady for many years, while a young girl, in Medjugorje.

The Coming Fire
A Friend of Medjugorje
Today, December 2, 2011, Our Lady of Medjugorje’s message read all over the world,
Thus says the Handmaid of the Lord:
“Dear children, as a mother I am with you so that with my love, prayer and example I may help you to become a seed of the future, a seed that will grow into a firm tree and spread its branches throughout the world. For you to become a seed of the future, a seed of love, implore the Father to forgive you your omissions up to now. My children, only a pure heart, unburdened by sin, can open itself and only honest eyes can see the way by which I desire to lead you. When you become aware of this, you will become aware of the love of God – it will be given* (as a gift) to you. Then you will give* it (as a gift) to others, as a seed of love. Thank you.”
* Our Lady used a croatian word which means “given as a gift”. Another translation could be “offered”.
Today, December 2, 2011 the First Reading at Holy Mass, read all over the world,
“Thus says the Lord God:
But a little while, and Lebanon shall
be changed into and orchard, and the orchard be regarded as a forest!
On that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book;
And out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see…”
Isaiah 29:17-18
Marija had come to Caritas, Alabama for May 1-5, 2004 for a spiritual retreat with Our Lady. The first apparition in the Bedroom on April 30, 2004, Our Lady told Marija the following:
The pine in the Field with its sprawled-out branches has become known to people across the world. For it was Our Lady who made it so, when She first appeared there November 24, 1988.
Enos Mills, founder of the Rocky Mountain National Park, in the United States, wrote of a beautiful tree that would be a sign. Enos Mills wrote this long before Our Lady’s apparitions. Enos Mills was born in 1870 and died in 1922. He wrote the following:
How could Enos Mills write, “It may be that sometime an immortal pine will be the flag of a united and peaceful world,” except by inspiration?
In Italy, at Marija’s house, while a friend was helping with cleaning and dusting, the friend picked up a framed picture of the Pine in the Field where Our Lady has many times appeared at Caritas. Many more times Our Lady blessed the people who were gathered underneath its branches from the Bedroom where She was appearing. Marija observed her friend staring at the picture in her hand. When Marija sees someone take an interest in something, she will often give such a thing away as a gift. Many things that have been given to her as gifts have passed through her hands to other people. Marija got her friend’s attention by clearing her throat and said, “No, no…this is mine.”
It was Marija who told the above story, relaying her fondness to us of the Tree in the Field in the picture in the frame.
During an interview* of Marija published in 1992, Marija said:
Question: Do many people live in darkness today?
Marija: The Blessed Mother says a cloud of darkness has enveloped the whole planet.
Q: What can be done?
Marija: Heed the messages of Medjugorje: prayer, fasting, reconciliation, peace, and conversion are a call from the Mother of God to all people on earth to restore God’s kingdom of light and love and peace and joy to all people on earth.
Q: Is this happening?
Marija: Yes. Many people of all faiths and beliefs and races and nationalities are hearing the call of the Blessed Mother. They are responding.
Q: Will the whole world hear of these messages?
Marija: Yes.
Q: How?
Marija: Through God’s faithful children who are spreading these messages to the farthest reaches of the globe.
Q: How do you know that, Marija?
Marija: The Blessed Mother said that God planted a tiny seed in the hearts of His faithful children. Through faithfulness to God’s will, and prayer and fasting, the tiny seed has become a great shade tree in the hearts of the faithful ones, where the sick and the starving can find shade, rest, and nourishment for their journey to paradise.
Q: How beautiful, Marija. Who are the faithful ones?
Marija: Those who hear the messages and respond.
Q: Vicka told me that our Blessed Mother said Her faithful children will spread these words of God’s chosen visionaries – you six children of Medjugorje – to the entire world.
Marija: That is already happening. Much more will come. Those who hear the messages of Medjugorje and respond will rejoice even in this life.

Marija’s words from the interview above, given in the middle of the 1980’s, correlate with the symbolic sign of the Pine in the Field and also today’s message:

Our Lady’s messages apply to many different things, with different meanings to each individual. But, Our Lady’s messages also, tells of the obvious of what She’s done through Her Medjugorje apparitions.
Covering the lower slopes and canyons of California’s mountains is plant growth called ‘chaparral.’ In the absence of fire, for thirty years, half the plant growth will be strangled and die. When drought is long and rain is brief, debris of wood and leaves do not decay. They cover the ground with a thick mat strangling plants. The dead mat also prevents nutrients from entering the soil. Chaparral consists of solvent extractive oils that when ignited in a hot, dry period, the chaparral combusts explosively. Seeds from Basil Buds, Lodge Pole Pine, and others will not sprout and grow without having gone through an intense heat by a fire! The fire also burns and clears away the accumulation of the dead mat debris, releasing its thirty years of accumulation of nutrients into the soil for the seed. By God’s design, the seeds having lain dormant for years are opened by the adversity of fire, fed nutrients by the adversity of fire and flourish because of the adversity of fire. New growth flourishes and becomes lush out of the dead and the purifying, devastating fire.
We have a Christian culture which progressed into secular society. Its seeds are not growing, strangled by the thick mat of what is dead. And even in the present we can begin referring to it as civilization – past civilization. The Woman of Light, brighter in Heaven than all others aside from God, has come to set the world on fire. This fire is not pleasant, but will result in a new earth, a new cultivation of culture made up of Christian villages and communities across the earth.
What type? What kind? If there ever was an agrarian message in all the years Our Lady has been giving messages, today’s is a strong one, an agrarian way of life.
Agrarian means:
of or relating to fields or lands or their tenure; relating to, or characteristic of the farmer or this way of life; relating to, or characteristic of the farmer or his interests.
An agrarian culture doesn’t mean everyone has to farm. It means we will move closer to the soil. Man has “devanced” in his dependency on God and advanced in his dependency on man. Man has created seeds “created by” man, genetically modified (GMO’s), that have never existed in creation. When man makes a seed commit suicide after one year for the purpose of forcing the sale of seeds the next year just to make more money, what judgment will God place against such actions?
The world and its life as we live it is passing. It is under judgment. Our Lady comes in times of great crisis. Life as we lived it will not resurrect, rather after it is purified, unburdened of its sin by the trials of fire then “can (it) open itself.” As the seeds go through intense heat, it is brought to life, by fire. When one goes through conversion, when one decides for God and to serve Him, He will go through fire. It is then that he will be able to grow and be made worthy to serve the Lord.
Sirach 2:1-6
The following was taken from a Caritas newsletter in the early 1990’s titled: What is Means to be Chosen by God
“Are we to be like Lot who heard God’s call and never questioned God or regretted where he was being led and never looked back? Lot can be compared to our hearing Our Lady’s call to leave the ways of the world and to live a completely new life, never thinking, “The TV was so nice,” or wishing, “We could go to the movies or enjoy excessive food or pleasures or lifestyles.” Instead, we go forward as Lot did to a new place with no regrets and follow Our Lady’s messages, building new communities where family can be family, where communities become villages, rich in their roots, with a real heritage and Christian traditions and where we can live as the early Church did. We live this life, the world would consider us to be nuts. But we must know that every mighty oak was once a nut who stood its ground. While society swirls around us, daily contradicting and suppressing every facet of Christian life, we must root ourselves deeply into Our Lady’s messages so when the floods of society’s excesses and compromises rise above the creek bank, assaulting our trunks and our roots, we will go unharmed, deeply rooted in the soil of uncompromising holiness and faith. In the future many will say, “You were a nut.” Those who pray and understand will say, “You were a hero.” The Church will say, “You are among the saints.”
All of you, and we, who follow Our Lady’s, are the seeds for the future. We are the apostles raised up for the latter days, purified as the children of Levi, as St. Louis de Montfort said 300 years ago, apostles that Our Lady would raise in the time that will be Hers.
We, at Caritas, have the confidence of what Our Lady has done here, with our community, our mission and our way of life.
An immortal Pine is our flag here at Caritas for all the nations throughout the world, crossing the boundaries of nations as a sign of peace, seeding a way of life of how we are to live in the future.
We have gone through fire of persecution, slander, calumny and attack of every kind yet we have remained silent. We had confidence of what Our Lady chose for us. She has given from the Bedroom of Apparitions Her love, so that it could be given to others.
December 3, 1988 (message given to Marija in the Bedroom of the Apparitions)
“Dear children, I give you my love, so you give it to others.”
Our Lady said today, December 2, 2011:
“…you become aware of this, you will become aware of the love of God – it will be given* (as a gift) to you. Then you will give* it (as a gift) to others, as a seed of love…”
Our ‘silence’ in response to years of persecution and calumny is because of the confidence Our Lady has given to us in regards to our call and our walk. We have remained silent, relying on Our Lady to vindicate Her plans Herself. Today’s message is clear for those of good will of what Our Lady has birthed and nurtured here at Caritas as Our Lady says:
Our Lady, with this message, confirms “a way of life in a new time” that She gave us at Caritas as a gift that by example we give it to others. In our silence, amidst years of the fires of adversity, our response was to live Our Lady’s messages and let Her confirm what She established.
Our Lady said in 1986:
Our Lady has many plans. Medjugorje is not to be centralized in Medjugorje or oppressed from Medjugorje. Medjugorje is free to all to decide how to spread the plans. In the past, great efforts have been expended to control Medjugorje. The call of Medjugorje comes from Our Lady to you. Our Lady, after all these years, still keeps Her apparitions on the mountains, the visionaries’ private chapels, and other places to be with you. Medjugorje is the seed Our Lady places in your heart. What is it to grow into? Our Lady gives you an example, a window to the future of what the seed can grow into, by what She’s done here.

What immediately follows is an impromptu blessing given by a priest that was visiting in May 2004. His blessing was in anticipation of Our Lady’s apparition in the Field to Marija, mentioned in the above handwritten message.

It is beautiful even just trying to follow Our Lady´s messages . We are starting a new time working more in our kitchen and garden , getting what we can a very low prices , since we are in a very agrarian zone though living in a city. Making marmalades an various vegetables preserves is fun and a lot of learning has taken place. Today we had a random message telling us to get happiness through prayer and started together with the seven Our Fathers, Hail Marys and Glory be. My kids respond very well since we´ve been praying every night and reading The Scriptures. Today we are trying to start a new way of life by changing our schedules to a more united, organized and heavy work program. Our donation went through and it would be great to know if we make it into de 1000 you called to the new group (you got enemies in Mexico, they blocked my account for twenty days after my small donation). Anyway we are proud to be with Caritas everyday and thirst for every release. Sincerely Bernardo
