Today is the traditional Bread Day in Medjugorje. There was no school today, but the outside of the school was filled with children selling fresh homemade bread of every kind made with their parents. Many of the villagers and pilgrims alike walked around the school yard, purchasing the bread from the different tables which were beautifully decorated with the different kinds of bread. In past years, Jakov the visionary has given a talk on Bread Day. He used it to encourage all the pilgrims to respond to the call of Our Lady to fast and remind us of the graces we can receive through fasting.
