Laying the Cement for the back pad

With the new addition, a fourth floor for paper storage was added. Large pallets of paper will be delivered at this delivery location, and brought up to the print shop through a freight elevator that was manufactured in our own machine shop. That saved substantial funds that were able to go towards other new equipment. This will add much greater efficiency and use of space in Our Lady’s building. Everything is consecrated to Our Lady in this building. As the men pour the cement, blessed religious objects are placed within the wire to be embedded in the cement. We are perpetually collecting old rosaries and scapulars, broken statues and crucifixes, religious plaques and pictures from our supporters for the purpose of having our grounds blessed and sanctified by the presence of these holy objects within every building project. It is Our Lady who said:

December 26, 1982

“…You must protect yourselves…through fasting and prayer, especially community prayer. Carry blessed objects with you. Put them in your house, and restore the use of holy water.”

Literally every place you walk around the grounds of Caritas you are in the presence of holy objects that have graced the homes and lives of multitudes of believers. Many of the objects given to us over the years are from those who have already entered eternal life. Faith tells us that these unknown saints in Heaven look down upon our mission, where their religious objects rest that helped them win heaven, and that they assist us in our work, through their prayers.

Writing the message in concrete in the dark

Our founder began a tradition years ago that whenever concrete is poured on Caritas grounds, regardless of how large of small the job, a message of Our Lady is picked at random and written in the concrete. Wherever one walks on Caritas grounds, Our Lady’s messages spring up to remind them of God’s presence, that they may have an encounter with God through Her words. This was sourced in one of the first messages Our Lady gave when She was in the home of our founder during Her time in 1988-1989.

November 25, 1988

"Dear children, I call you to prayer for you to have an encounter with God in prayer. God gives Himself to you, but He wants you to answer in your own freedom to His invitation. That is why, little children, during the day find yourselves a special time when you can pray in peace and humility and have this meeting with God, the Creator. I am with you and I intercede for you in front of God. Watch in vigil so that every encounter in prayer be the joy of your contact with God. Thank you for having responded to my call."

It took all day to pour the concrete for the new pad outside the bottom layer of the Tabernacle which has been designated for the storage of paper. The cement was not firm enough to write in until after dark, and so one community member makes a sacrificial offering of the late night and the chilly weather to “cement” Our Lady’s words into these new surroundings dedicated to Her plans and Her messages.
