Living the Corona Vision

Living the Corona Vision

April 27, 2020 A.D.

Our Lady of Medjugorje said through Marija on April 25, 2020:

“Be a reflection of God’s love and witness the Risen Jesus by your lives…”

The Risen Jesus is a witness of life, not death. Too many are consumed by death today, and are forgetting that Our Lady is calling us to life. This is the basic premise of a Friend of Medjugorje’s new book, The Corona Vision. Here, we give you a glimpse of just one hour of one day, how this is lived.

The Sunday Rosary at Caritas, April 26, 2020

(Photo taken Sunday, April 26, 2020, 11:28 AM) – If you could park at the road in front of the Field of Apparitions, crest the hill and take a sneak peek at the Community of Caritas yesterday, this is what you would have seen. The same thing which happens every day at 11:00 AM, praying the daily Rosary in the Field, as it was started by a Friend of Medjugorje, 32 years ago, with never a day missed. No social distancing happening here. Just a Community, a family, together at their home, living the same life that is lived every day. A Friend of Medjugorje wrote in The Corona Vision, that:

“We have been built and continue to build on the foundation of Our Lady’s messages and apparitions, and She has guided us to a Way of Life in a New Time…”

While a Friend of Medjugorje’s quote above says “we,” the reality is that it is a Friend of Medjugorje who has and continues to form the Community in what we do. It is Our Lady Who forms him, and through that, he guides the Community. When this is your foundation, one continues to live the way they normally live no matter what happens.

Polly an Abigail with ponies, April 26, 2020

(Photo taken Sunday, April 26, 2020, 11:22 AM) – Polly Kate, aged 3, and Abigail Rose, aged 3, “work” their ponies. A Friend of Medjugorje took the heroic and difficult step of pulling his kids, who were very athletic, out of league sports and many other activities. In its place, the agrarian life was given as the alternative, for it is not only fun and wholesome, but teaches work ethics, patience, and perseverance. In The Corona Vision, a Friend of Medjugorje wrote about league sports saying:

“Look at the god of sports—falling apart…”

John at the fire, April 26, 2020

(Photo taken Sunday, April 26, 2020, 11:34 AM) – John William, aged 5, known as “Big John” contemplates the fire. A Friend of Medjugorje once remarked that there is a fascination with boys and fire. Anyone who has raised boys can testify to this. Something about a fire brings reflection about warmth, providership, but also life, death, purgatory and hell. In The Corona Vision, a Friend of Medjugorje wrote:

“The coronavirus has caused more reflection on changing one’s future…”

However, when one lives, “The Corona Vision” ones life is always causing them to reflect on their future.

Maddalena Mia with rabbit and the deer, April 26, 2020

(Photo taken Sunday, April 26, 2020, 11:37 AM) – Maddalena Mia, aged 9 months, plays with a rabbit, while Eli the deer joins them. A Friend of Medjugorje wrote about his grandmother, Maddalena, whom little Maddalena is named after. However, we can’t tell you everything, so you will need to read The Corona Vision to read the story yourself. ☺

Apparition Time, April 26, 2020

(Photo taken Sunday, April 26, 2020, 11:43 AM) – The kids gather around the statue of Our Lady at apparition time.

Marth and Maddalena Mia run to apparition, April 26, 2020

(Photo taken Sunday, April 26, 2020, 11:43 AM) – Martha and Polly Kate, run to the statue when the bells ring for apparition time. No matter where the kids are playing, when the bells ring, signaling that Our Lady is appearing, the kids rush to their moment of prayer before Our Lady.

Many years ago, in the late 80’s, a Friend of Medjugorje was up on the mountain with a friend from France, named Cyril Auboyneau. A Friend of Medjugorje shared with Cyril something he felt in his heart. They were looking down at the Field from the mountain, where the Cross now stands. A Friend of Medjugorje said that he envisioned people coming from every direction to pray together. Cyril told him that he didn’t see that. Ten years later, when Marija was here at Caritas in 1999, Cyril was also here, and he told a Friend of Medjugorje, “Remember what you told me up on the mountain about people coming from all over to pray together? I see that now.”

Living the Corona Vision, is a grace. But, it is also work. A Friend of Medjugorje made many decisions and sacrifices that were invested into this way of life. Now, the return on that investment is visibly seen by many who have yet to make those same decisions and sacrifices. But, would you have wanted to live one hour of your Sunday this way?

  1. Please pray for us who long to live this life, spouses who do not see, lives filled with worldly concerns…I pray for Her intentions…God’s plan…abandon my petitions to Our Lady….maybe some day we will live this life too…my hope…

  3. Throughout the past few years I’ve heard negative comments about Caritas, or maybe just doubtful comments, but I always say, ” I’ve been there 3 times and I’ve seen how they live, I’ve seen the joy in the children’s faces and I say to myself, this is how children should be growing up. No matter what anyone says I’m not swayed or disturbed because I’ve seen for myself how the community lives and it is a life of hard work but filled with peace and joy. I look forward to the day when we will all be living this way.

  4. Ah, makes me “homesick” for the days when I spent with the Community, just to be in the presence of Love. Like December 2019 after Christmas I just had to be at Caritas to renew my energy and boost my spirit. Even though chilly and drizzling rain, I didn’t want to intrude, but I did enjoy being present for the rosary then drove back to my hotel and began my “bucket list” read: THE POEM OF THE MAN GOD. I even got to meet Eli! Continued prayers for the Community/Mission.

  5. The pictures speak a million words. The simplicity, and wholesome lifestyle that you developed, from one of the messages from Mary, and have followed for years is a blessed example of what we as a people could have. The love, joy and innocence that the children have is witnessed by their facial expressions and is a joy to see. Take care, as always God Bless You
