“I am asking of you to love -- to spread the truth; because truth is eternal, unchanging and always current…”
“Love” is being displayed by spreading the eternal, unchanging and current truth.
(Medjugorje photo taken Sunday October 29, 2017, 6:26 AM) - The steeples of St. James peek out over the vast expanse that surrounds the village of Medjugorje. Though almost 39 years have passed, and Medjugorje has grown significantly, Medjugorje is still relatively remote. In the earlier years when a Friend of Medjugorje first went to Medjugorje, it took a winding road along the sea and half a day to get to Medjugorje from the nearest airport. Yet from this little remote village, Our Lady began to change the world.
When we look at China, Indonesia, Syria, or other countries where Christians are persecuted, we often think it cannot happen in our “civilized” nations. Yet, anything is possible, depending on how we behave as Christians. A Friend of Medjugorje tells more:
What if we do not change? What if we Christians do not stop divorces amongst ourselves and denounce this scourge of marriage? What if we continue to accept or at least tolerate abominable, sinful lifestyles? Then beware, O Christian! You shall be put to the test!

A Medjugorje Outlook… - December 8, 2009
If we do not want to be “put to the test,” then we must make a stand for God at every opportunity, even if the circumstances of persecution seem remote. A Friend of Medjugorje is teaching us that if we wish to keep those circumstances of persecution remote, then we need to make a bold stand, telling the truth even at the cost of being considered intolerant. When we do that, the messages show that Our Lady does not see intolerance, She sees love.
