Our Lady’s birthday is coming up this Friday, August 5, 2011. Though the Church celebrates Mary’s birthday on September 8, Our Lady revealed in Medjugorje that August 5 is Her true birthday. When Caritas’ founder invited Marija to come to Caritas for Our Lady’s birthday in 2005, he wrote several writings to help us understand the great significance and importance of God’s actions in wanting Our Lady’s birthday known in this time. If we are true followers of Medjugorje, then everything Our Lady says is important. It is not enough to simply know or believe that Our Lady’s birthday is August 5th. August 5th must become for all Our Lady’s children a special day in our lives in which we honor and celebrate Our Lady’s birth. A Friend of Medjugorje wholeheartedly believes that August 5th will become a great feast in the Church one day and that we will celebrate it the way we celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day—that the two birthdays will parallel each other. The following writing from A Friend of Medjugorje in the August, 2005 issue of Words of the Harvesters, a Caritas of Birmingham publication, relays why he believes this so strongly. We also make available several other materials that will help you to understand the importance of August 5th and how to celebrate it with more thought and reverence. Why is it ordained that we, in our age, are given the exact day of Our Lady’s birth and Her exact age? After all, the Church and tradition designate dates to recognize special holy days, though many times they are not the actual dates upon which the event took place. For instance, the day Easter is celebrated is not the actual date the Resurrection took place, nor do we know for sure if Jesus was born exactly on December 25th. Yet, Our Lady in Medjugorje gives the specific date of Her birth and Her age. August 5, 2005, will be Our Lady’s 2021st birthday. There must be great significance that Heaven desires we know this date in order that it become important in the life of the Universal Church and in the hearts of its members. Why is God now, in this disturbed age without love, revealing through the Medjugorje apparitions this date? Our Lady said:

After 24 years of daily apparitions, Christ has only appeared to the Medjugorje visionaries as an Infant on Christmas with Our Lady. Only a couple of times have they seen Jesus. Some say that we, at Caritas, put too much emphasis on Mary. Some have judged Medjugorje as false because it’s too much that Our Lady appears everyday. Others say it’s just too much Mary and not enough Jesus. Yet, Our Lady said, “…This time is my time…” For if we believe in the daily apparitions, we in turn must reconcile what Our Lady says:

What are the signs of the time? That we are in a loveless time with a bleak future, where man’s heart has grown cold and hard. This cold and hard influence developed and spread even with nearly 1/3 of the earth’s population being Christian! Yet in the early Christian age, with almost no numbers or anywhere close to the ratio of a common belief of 1/3 influencing a diverse divided 2/3, the early Christians, with their sparse numbers, grew and eventually influenced the whole world. Now, in the present, the large numbers of Christians who do not fully live Christianity have lost influence on society. We are threatened on every level. The salt has grown flat; non-convicting. It is God Himself Who sent the Word; Who became Flesh; Who witnessed as the Man-God; Who now, even as Christians themselves reflect so little the Christ, sends the Bearer of Love as our last hope to save mankind from man himself. Our Lady comes to teach us of the true Christ, the real Jesus, the God Who became Man and yet still prayed because He knew He needed to pray to save. Our Lady said on July 30, 1987:
Our Lady is leading us to more fully live an authentic Christian life of prayer, penance, and holiness. So, in answer to why is God revealing Our Lady’s actual birth date and year of birth: This last age has matured; evil has perfected in the world. What had been forecasted of the Woman in Revelation is in the present. It is the time of the Virgin Mary–Her time. It is Jesus Who wants this. It is He who consented to Our Lady coming everyday for 24 years. It is He, the Christ, Who has given Her this time and Who elevates Her to stand squarely beside Him on a throne of peace, not below Him but side by side, Heart to Heart, the Sacred, the Immaculate, reigning out love to change the heart of man. She is to be exalted in this age to a higher level, not because man decides so or even the Church, but because God has ordained it so. Mary’s influence in this age is as never before on earth or in Heaven. She has been given the keys of this time. In Her hands is the world and its population. The Virgin, a mere Creature, powerless, yet endowed by God that She alone like no other creature stands before the Trinity, united to the Three Persons in such a way that all graces for the world are being invested in Her to save it. God wants Our Lady’s birthday known to the world. Christ wants the birth of His Mother celebrated and the Holy Spirit inspires us and incites us to honor Her on August 5, 2005, on Her 2021st birthday, no less than Christmas itself!
Recognize, O Christian, that the time you are living in is a particular time. A time when we will get to know God more; a time in which Our Lady is empowered with God’s power to lead us to a new era.

That is the reason we are to know these dates. We are to understand that Heaven bows before its Queen. All honor is for Her. In just a few days we will be hosting the first openly announced public celebration of Our Lady’s birth on the freshly revealed dates of August 5th, and with the extraordinary grace of having Our Lady Herself with us. Those who recognize and discern the signs of the times know they must come to be at Caritas for the first celebration of August 4th, the Eve of Mary’s Nativity and for August 5th, Mary’s “Christmas” Day.
How we look with fascination at the early Christians. Will the wonder be any different 100 years from now upon us of how we were so privileged to live Mary’s “Christmas” Eve, August 4th and the Nativity of Mary’s birth, August 5th, 2005, while Our Lady will be with us in Her apparitions! If you grasp the opportunity, almost nothing can stop you from coming. It’s not too late to decide.

May our hearts be open by this witness and spread the scent of Our Lady as far as we can with the power of the Holy Spirit and even walk over the water to achieve it, if it is God´s will. Good Morning Caritas Special Blessings from a Field Angel in Houston Texas. I PRAISE GOD AND THANK OUR LADY FOR YOU GUYS AND YOUR WITNESS, especially your founder. I called Caritas just now to make a donation, but also for Spiritual Direction because in these waning days of the culmination of The Secrets and the end of the messages, I have been scared and worried. I am not living the messages, but strongly believe in them. My family, including my husband don’t agree with Medjugorje at all and this has been a huge problem for me to do all that Our Lady asks, as it creates much friction, especially with husband. However, I was reminded Of something that happened many years ago while talking to the person who answered the phone. It reminded me of a story I heard several years ago from a close friend at the Church I was attending. This person had a son who was to be married outside the Church. Her pastor told her that if she attended this non Catholic wedding, she would be in mortal sin. Her husband said that if she did not go to the wedding, he would divorce her, it was that important to him.  The woman told me that after much agonizing and prayer she wound up going to the wedding because she wanted to save her marriage.  This son who was to be married outside the church had, before he met his future bride, lived a life of grave sin causing this mother great pain and anguish. She greatly feared for his soul and salvation. I found out a few days ago from my friend that this young man is now a strong man of God who wants to lead his wife and family to God.  The whole family are becoming devout Christians dedicated to God. This story is a true witness for myself to not worry about anything, but to completely Trust in God’s plan. And above all obey God and your husband and Love those who seem to be unlovable (for me this includes my husband and most of my family) Yes many families are in Division, but we who love Mary are called to bring light to those in Darkness, starting with our own families.  In The End Mary’s Immaculate Heart will Triumph! Our Lady is so wonderful.  It’s so amazing how Our Creator, Our Father, wants us to be part of an Everlasting Family. When you reminded us of Our Lady saying She wants to do, “Miracles With Us,” and having you mention Fatima, as well, I couldn’t help but remember how as a child, my family visited Lourdes and Fatima. I still remember a good deal of our visiting both sites in the early 70’s. We got to do this, because we were an American family living in Europe. One of the things Our family always did, was pray for my Brother Billy, the youngest, to have a miracle for his one small hand. My bother, quite young then, wasn’t ever upset at not getting his miracle, in fact, I don’t remember ever hearing my Brother ever complain about his hand, until recently. Back in the USA, my Brother accepted surgery, years ago, from doctors to make his hand bigger, but stopped the procedure, after years of painful procedures. Now a man in his fifties, having worked as an electrician for most of his life, I realize my brother accepted, his hand and has done amazing things, which has made me for the most part, forget all about it sometimes, because he never used it as a crutch, complained, or made any fuss about it, till recently. As he explained it to me, just a short time ago, he broke one of his fingers a few years ago and it never repaired itself, properly, even to the mobility, he only originally had. For many years, there were also areas, even prior to this, where you could see bare bone, exposed between areas of skin, which never grafted properly.  Even still, having to use this hand, getting infections, bearing with cold weather upon it, etc. he never let it slow him down, until now, as it causes him great pain to use, and the broken finger is in the way. Still, he never really complains, though he’s talked now about maybe needing or hoping for something with Social Security, etc. I hadn’t given his hand much thought until recently, but I remember over the years, I’ve continued to pray for a miracle for my Brother. After becoming part of Our Lady’s Cohort, and throughout my life, I’ve heard people say, everything happens for a reason. I’ve grown to believe this, through the Great Graces, I’ve received from Our Lady. Over the years though, I’ve never lost the thought that God was going to use my Brother’s hand, to reveal His Love to other people. I never had what I thought was any real reason to believe this, and over the mounting years, I even remember becoming frustrated at times, because I somehow always found there was part of me with this belief, even when every other said differently. With another member of my extended family, my niece being born with a hand which is quite similar to my Brother’s before his operations, this thought only grew, even though, I only pushed it away, as well, these many years Being reminded of Our Lady wanting to do miracles with us, by FOM, I couldn’t help but feel that God, truly is going to do something with both of them, to help others come to know His Love. It seems so real to me lately, that oftentimes I see in in my mind, and now again so recent, with our Catholic Mass, readings of miracles by Jesus. Today and now, more than ever, I believe anything is possible for Our Lord, and I recognize Our Lady being with us a part of a Huge Miracle. to bring everyone back to God. Our Father, is pulling out all the, ‘Stops,” having Our Lady here all of these years, is a pure sign of this. Whether or not God chooses to do these miracles, won’t matter for my sake, because I’m firmly convinced of Heaven, but in my heart and mind it,’s something which, I now have full confidence and faith, of it coming about. All I can see in my minds eye, is my Brother over and over, as if it were already a memory, him standing there, stretching out this withered hand. I see the same for my niece, with all those around her, with mouths wide open, not in disbelief, but belief ! My prayers now, are for it to do, the most possible in bringing all those whom haven’t come to know God’s Love, to find it. I think of all of my relatives, whom, not to judge, appear to be as far, or further, than I know I was from God years ago, till Our Lady helped bring me to Her Son Jesus. I think of those happy coming times, when God’s wonderful Love, will reveal Himself to the many people, who need it in our day, in this special time of Grace. A time, unlike any other……and I believe many will take God’s miracles as one of Our Lady’s Messages, given in a way, unlike any other, ever in the history of this world. We live in a time of The Miraculous. Our Lady has promised the world Her Signs from Her Son, We must believe, this Time, is for what it is. We must have Faith, for those things, yet unseen, for soon, they will be seen, by all.
