“You Are On A Tabor” – by A Friend of Medjugorje

 

 

A Friend of Medjugorje has been in Medjugorje for the past week. He spoke to the Caritas pilgrimage group on August 6, 2009, on the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus on Mt. Tabor. Following are excerpts from his talk.

 

The priest from China this morning at Mass said something very interesting. He was talking about the Transfiguration with Elijah and Moses and Jesus and how Jesus forbade His apostles to talk about what they saw or how important it was or how big it was. It was such a moment that Peter, James and John wanted to build three booths there, or three tents, a tent such as what the Ark of the Covenant was kept in, perhaps equivalent in importance to when we build a Cathedral like now. That apparition of Elijah and Moses, that “transfiguration” of Jesus, that one moment meant that much that the apostles knew this was important history. They saw something that was so profound, so huge on Mt. Tabor that they wanted to memory this throughout history so that people would come there and honor it. This was only a singular apparition that happened there with Elijah and Moses and Jesus alive being transfigured in a glorified body.
 

Today, we have Our Lady doing things for us to make us understand how big this place is right here. What should be our mindset? How should we approach this place? How should we approach Our Lady? How should we approach Her messages? What is the proper way? What is the proper reverence? How big is this? She said five simple words on June 24, 1986 upon Cross Mountain in Medjugorje:
 

“You are on a Tabor.”
 

You are on Mt. Tabor!
 

Mirjana, in her apparition on August 2, 2009 the other day, didn’t realize what was going on with the sun with the people. And the people didn’t realize what was going on with her in her apparition. But in that apparition for the first time in Mirjana’s history of seeing Our Lady throughout 28 years of apparitions, for the first time ever, she saw the sun appear in the apparition with Our Lady, the Queen. Mirjana said that when Our Lady said, “Praised be Jesus,” when She said the word “Jesus”, the sun pulsated in the apparition and when in the message She said “My Son”, the sun pulsated behind Our Lady again. And every time She referred to Jesus or about Him, the sun was shaking and moving—just as what the people saw during Mirjana’s apparition of the sun “dancing”. It’s as if Our Lady was saying, “This is my Son.” And within this apparition there is the sun—the Creation sun, nature’s sun there representing Christ. Mirjana said she felt in seeing the sun pulsating in this manner that it was Jesus shining down His love on us.
 

“What” is interesting is that Our Lady is here to tell us that throughout the years and in particular in Mirjana’s apparitions, “This is my beloved Son.” And it is interesting in the Gospel today, the priest said of the Transfiguration on Mt. Tabor that they heard the Voice of God say “This is my beloved Son.” Everywhere you go you are walking the Bible here. I’m telling you that you are a people that are doing the same thing as those who were with Christ when He walked the earth. This is the moment. This is the time. This is biblical. It won’t be in the future. It hasn’t been in the past. This is the moment of Revelation Chapter 12:
 

“A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” Rev. 12:1-2

And She came to do battle with the dragon. How? Through you the people. She said, “I come from the people”. So it’s you, the chosen ones. This village She chose first. All those who join in league with them are the Apostles. St. Louis de Montfort wrote about that. There would come a time when Our Lady would raise up apostles for the latter days. You have that opportunity. And most of the people, the majority of the people, the great number of people who come here miss that because they are distracted or because they are not guided properly or they are not put in the right place because while Our Lady points us over and over and over and over again to the message, satan keeps taking, taking, taking, taking away from the message, adding things to Medjugorje to distract the pilgrims, to distract the villagers.
 

…Our Lady is coming to give us something more than we can comprehend in the moment. Just as the Apostles who didn’t comprehend their moment with Christ. They didn’t understand, even after the Transfiguration, or even Jesus at the Last Supper, even before the Last Supper when He explained things to them and told them that they wouldn’t understand this moment. And yet He also said, one day they would when the Holy Spirit comes. So it took that long for everything to click for them. They understood the Transfiguration, they understood everything pertaining to Jesus’ death and resurrection only then. They didn’t get it before. We can say the same thing. We still don’t get it. I can say I know so little about Medjugorje even though my whole life is Medjugorje, my whole life is about Our Lady, my whole life is about falling in love with Our Lady and wanting to do everything to please Her in Her plans. And yet, I know I understand so little, and it will only be after the plan’s implementation has been completed that you and I will understand, and some even then, will not.
 

….Man today has forgotten so many just basic things, the basic walk towards holiness. Our Lady said in this message,

“…My poor children, look around you and look at the signs of the times….”

 

Did you catch what She said there? She said look around you and look at what? If you look at something what are you doing?—you’re seeing what’s in front of you. If I say to you, “Look at that tree,” how are you able to do that? Because there is a tree there, so you’re looking at the tree. What did Jesus say? “Look for the signs.” Big, big difference. Notice the fig tree, notice the storm, notice the clouds when they come. Be on watch for the signs, Jesus said. Our Lady’s coming and saying “Look at the signs.” What Jesus spoke about 2,000 years ago, “look for”, She is telling us, “look at”, it’s here, now, today!! What was warned about 2,000 years ago, She’s telling us its here now, today, 2,000 years later! And you’re being included in “the know” of this. The question is what are you going to do about it?

 

“…My poor children, look around you and look ‘at’ the signs of the times. Do you think that you can do without God’s blessing?…”

 

This talk was given “in view” of Medjugorje’s “Mt. Tabor”. The vineyards could be seen just a few feet away from where the Caritas pilgrims sat. The sounds and smells of Medjugorje filled the air, and the bells of St. James church could be occasionally heard in the background. The Holy Spirit is very active in Medjugorje and what you have just read is very different from what the pilgrims heard because of the environment you are in compared to being in Medjugorje with all the above puts the Medjugorje.com reader at a great disadvantage. There is only one way to even out the imbalance and that is through prayer. Take the time to get on your knees and pray to the Holy Spirit and then re-read what you just read. Pray for the power, the conviction, and the grace of the moment to descend upon you so to be transported to Medjugorje in your heart by the Holy Spirit when you re-read the article.
 

 

Cross Mountain in Medjugorje the morning of Mirjana’s August 2, 2009 apparition. Many pilgrims testified that they also saw miracles associated with this Cross this same morning, columns of clouds in different colors surrounding the Cross. On June 24, 1986, in an immense crowd of 30,000-50,000 people present Our Lady gave the following message:

June 24, 1986

“You are on a Tabor. You receive blessings, strength, and love. Carry them into your families and into your homes. To each one of you, I grant a Special Blessing. Continue in joy, prayer and reconciliation.”

 

 

The sun as seen on the evening of August 7, 2009 in Medjugorje. Where miracles of biblical proportion began to take place, June of 1981. While in the beginning years they were very frequent, they are much fewer now. Nevertheless, what took place on August 2, 2009 brought back the beginning days and the excitement mixed with awe that God is really wanting to communicate to us through this miracle to listen to Our Lady.
