Marija, Visionary:

“Every blessing from Our Lady that we receive in the apparition
is not only a grace for us, but also…our families will receive blessings…”

The following is an interview that a Friend of Medjugorje did with Marija on February 24, 2004. Marija was going to be with us May 1-5, 2004 and she shared with us the following to encourage as many people as possible to come and be in the presence of Our Lady. We share this interview with you now, in the hopes that it will touch many hearts and encourage many to come and be with Our Lady this year for July 1-5, 2009 (click here). Please pause and pray before reading it as the words have the ability to penetrate your heart and place a fire in it.

The village of Medjugorje is moving in to their time of rest, while the numbers of pilgrims coming are decreasing as the weather becomes colder. It’s always a nice time to be in Medjugorje, as a pilgrim, because it is much quieter without the large crowds. November tends to be a popular month for American pilgrims.

Allow me to tell you a little story about my journey. This happened about ten years ago when I was working as a hospital chaplain. We had just finished doing the rounds visiting the people taking Holy Communion and the Anointing of the Sick. We were then having a cup of coffee and as we finished, one of the ministers of the Eucharist said to me, we were wondering if you would want to come with us to visit what I thought she said was Margie. Little did I know she was saying, Medjugorje.

I would like to start by saying what is the most important regarding Our Lady’s apparitions, and then what is the most important of all and that is Our Lady’s messages and what Our Lady is calling us to do in these twenty-seven and some more years. When the apparitions first started, I was only ten. I used to have a normal life of an average child around here. I was living in the faith of a very small child and this is what my parents were teaching me. They were teaching me that God exists and that Our Lady exists. I was praying with my family like every other child around here. Sometimes I would look forward to the end of the prayer. I used to go to church to Holy Mass, and it was very difficult to be still for an hour. That was my life before the apparitions.

About a year ago I was asked if I would like to accompany a group a pilgrimage from Burma to Medjugorje. I heard so much about this place; Father Wayne, who came here last year, was speaking so beautifully about it. As soon as I was asked I said yes.
